How Old is Naelee?

A Scary Monday

We took Naelee to the doctor early Monday morning for her 6-Month Well Visit and she got her shots. She weighed 16 lbs. She was 26 1/2 inches long. We are very happy that she is gaining weight. Her ears also looked clear, so that was a plus too. We left the doctor to go get my CT scan disk, because I went to see a uriologist in Corbin on Monday (Thank God) and on our way home we were in a car accident. Luckily, we are all Okay. Erik is hurt from the seat belt and the airbag, but we are truly blessed. It is very scary when you have a baby in the car with you. It has made me take on a whole different meaning of safety. Naelee's Chicco car seat kept her safe and secure. She had fallen asleep and I think the noise from the impact scared her, so she started crying as if something were wrong, but she was Okay after a couple minutes. It was pouring down rain, so I did not want to get out of the car with her and take the chance of someone hitting us from behind, so we stayed in the car with the stinky smell of the airbags. Erik's assistant coach picked us up and took us home. We got Erik's truck and headed to Corbin. I was shaken up from the accident, so I did not really want to go, however, I am so glad I did. I had a staph infection (not MRSA) in my kidney and I have been on the wrong antibiotic for two weeks, so that is why I was not getting any better. I am now on a different antibiotic four times a day and feel amazing. Thanks for all of the prayers and thanks to Cindy Woolums for working her magic to get me in quickly with her husband's practice.

Naelee did wonderful on Monday after having her shots. You will see the pictures below as she got to stay at Grandma and Papaw's when Daddy and I went to the doctor. She was a happy baby. My Dad made the comment that "she is the sweetest baby he has ever seen." Like I always say, she is an ANGEL!

My Papaw's Hat

Naelee would not leave Papaw's hat alone on Monday. She wanted to put it in her mouth. Look at my band-aids from my shots.

Uncle Chad and Miss Naelee

Uncle Chad got to spend lots of time with Naelee on Monday while Mommy and Daddy went to the doctor. Uncle Chad played and rocked Naelee to sleep. Naelee peed on him, but Chad did not care. He is such a good Uncie!

First Thanksgiving in Corbin

We went to Corbin last Saturday for Thanksgiving. We got to see Nana, Aunt Shera, Uncle Ryan, Aunt Samantha, Uncle Chad, Buddy, Rhoda, Grandma, and Papaw.

Happy Naelee

Naelee ate bananas in Corbin as her Thanksgiving meal. She loves bananas!!! We like the plastic, wipeable bibs.

Aunt Shera and Naelee

Aunt Shera let Naelee explore the Christmas tree at Grandma and Papaw's. This was her first time to see a Christmas Tree. As you can see she wanted to grab everything off of the tree. Aunt Shera will be having Naelee a little cousin in July.

Naelee is 6 Months Old Today!

Happy Half Birthday Naelee! It is hard to believe that Naelee is 6 months old!! She is my angel! I love to see her smile and hear her new sounds. She has been saying "mama" a lot this week.

Naelee in the Mirror

Before Naelee gets in the tubby, she loves to look at herself in the mirror. She is full of laughter and she likes to move her legs.

Naelee sucking her thumb

I think she looks so cute in these pictures!

Naelee with Mommy's Cell Phone

Naelee likes the red cell phone. She likes to like it when her grandma talks to her on the phone. When I talk on the phone, she wants to grab it from me. I also love these cute outfits that her Aunt Shera bought her.

Dyna with Naelee

Dyna wants to be close to Naelee. When Naelee is asleep on my lap Dyna wants to lay on her. Naelee still loves Dyna too, so the feeling is mutual.
