Naelee was in Grandpa's lap and she was laughing and cooing. She was so alert and happy then took a nap on his chest.

FAMILY

Naelee, Dyna, and I went to Corbin and lots of family came to see Naelee. She is a popular baby! We got to see Phoebe, Johnny, Nana, Cole, Gracie, Sonya, Mackenzie, and Meredith.

The Napping House

Mom and Dad's house was a "Napping House" today. Shera and Dyna napped together while Grandpa and Naelee napped together. Mom and I were cooking dinner.

Yes this is Dyna giving Naelee a kiss. Everybody always asks how Dyna is doing with Naelee and the answer is Dyna is wonderful to her. When Naelee is crying (usually getting out of the bath tub), Dyna comes right to Naelee to check on her. I have started bending down with Naelee and Dyna comes over to give Naelee a kiss. Naelee immediately stops crying, maybe it is because Dyna's breath is so bad--ha! This morning in the bed Naelee had finished eating and Dyna came over to give her good morning kisses.

Naelee has started having lots of facial expressions and raising her eyebrows (as you can see). She has even started looking at the camera with a raised brow as if she is trying to figure out what is in front of her all of the time. I wanted to share the pictures that I took of her yesterday, so you can see the variety of facial expressions that she is using. It is amazing that she is 10 weeks old today! Yesterday I put in her the swimming pool and she loved it as I expected!!!! I did not get any pictures, because I was the one with her, but I am gone to try to get some of her soon. She loves the water.

This is Naelee after the explosion. She is very content and sucking her thumb in the car seat.

Explosion

This is a picture of Naelee in the back seat of the car yesterday. Luckily Aunt Shera purchased this changing pad for the car and it was necessary for what we encountered. We went to Lima yesterday to visit Erik's family and on the way I thought Naelee needed to burp so I got her out of the carseat and it was not a burp. She had a major explosion in the diaper and had poop from end to the other. Erik could not figure out why I needed him to pull over until he had witnessed himself. She was happy when I started cleaning her up and she kept smiling. She did not sleep much during the day, but she slept the entire way home from Lima and slept 9 hours during the night! She is such a wonderful baby and Erik and are truly blessed.

Naelee was in her swing yesterday and when she wants to go to sleep she loves to cover her face with a blanket.

Daddy and Naelee

Daddy and Naelee were napping together. Naelee loves to sleep on his chest. This has become known as the Daddy Mountain. There is a really cute book about the Daddy Mountain that Erik got as a present before Naelee arrived. The little girl in the book wants on Daddy's shoulders, but since Naelee can't climb on Daddy's shoulders yet, his chest has taken on the name.















Daddy was holding Naelee and she was watching baseball on TV. Imagine how happy that made Daddy.

Uncle Tom and Naelee

We went to Louisville today to pick up Jiffy from camp. We met a good friend of the family, Tom O'Connor, at The Cheesecake Factory. Naelee smiled at Tom and went fast to sleep in his arms. Thanks Tom for your time, paying for our food, and the great conversation.
