Update on Naelee

Naelee is such a wonderful baby! She is sleeping at night until we have to feed her. She loves sleeping on Daddy's chest and when we need to get her to sleep that is where she will calm down. She did not like getting a bath last night, but I think it has to do with her being undressed. She does not like to be undressed.
Dyna has done very well with her. She likes to smell Naelee's feet and head, but is very gentle when she is round her. The first day we had Naelee home she cried when Naelee cried.
We are very grateful for our church for providing meals to us each night. Thanks Rachel for organizing this and thanks to all of the people who have cooked and brought food!

Naelee's Night

Naelee had the best night since she has been home. We would have to wake her up to feed her, because she was sleeping so sound. Her "hour of power" as Erik calls it is between 12-1:30. Erik and I have learned that Naelee has already figured out to cry so we will pick her up. We are getting better about letting her calm herself with her pacifier.
Thanks for all of your comments, texts, phone calls, and emails. It is wonderful to have friends and family that care so much about Naelee!

6 oz. special

We went to the pediatrician this morning and Naelee had gained 6 ounces, so she is back to 8lbs. He was very pleased with how she is doing and we will go back in two weeks. I also got to see Melissa at the doctor's office today. She is the nursing student that was working in my classroom and recommended Dr. Mack. Thanks Melissa, he is a wonderful doctor and you could not have recommended anyone better.

The morning after

This was this morning once she took a bottle and had her belly full. She was so content! We went to the pediatrician and she had lost more weight since yesterday, so they are asking us to supplement with formula at least until Tuesday when we go back. She has slept all day and is so content! Thank God we have a wonderful pediatrician!

First Night at Home

Naelee was so peaceful when she went to sleep the first night at home, but we soon found out that the peace was short lived. She did not sleep, but one hour the first night and at 7:00 we finally fixed her a bottle, because she was too hungry to calm down and I could not give her what she needed.

Glad to be home

Hello Friends. We are so excited to be home. Naelee has been pretty content in her new home. We have see her smile a few times today and already work her Daddy over with her beautiful eyes and smile. Mother and Baby are resting comfortably tonight. I want to thank you all again for praying for us. It is a real comfort to know so many pray for our family. Thanks
Tommorow we re-visit the peditrician so we wont be home till the afternoon. We just ask that you call us if you are coming over.

Naelee will be Home TODAY

Naelee, Mommy and Daddy will be heading home today. Tasha is healing up great...Baby is feeding great!! Pooping Great!!! PEEING GREAT!!!!
We will up date the time that we expect to head home. Sometime before we Lunch we believe...Tasha will probably stop at Chick-Fila...Naelee will proably get some nuggets...ha ah LOL

Naelee will be looking forward to meeting her Uncle Jiffy, her Aunt Gretchen and cousins Drew and Zoe sometime this weekend...

Friday morning

Naelee has had a wonderful morning. She is feeding so well and we have experienced our first major "blow out" with diapering! Praise God she peed last night, so we can go home today. She is so healthy and happy. We could not be more blessed.
